Aston, Pa. - The Women's ice hockey team fell to the Adrian College, 3-2, at Ice Works arena in Aston, Pa Sunday afternoon. The Knights split the weekend series with the Bulldogs 1-1. The Knights fell behind in the first period when Leah Humphries found Ashley Aiken who scored a power play goal giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. Samantha May tied the score with under 10 seconds of play in the second period when she put in a shorthanded goal tying the game at 1-1. Adrian regained the lead midway through the period when Stacey Kempson and Dana Funkenhauser assisted a goal to Keegan Castrillo giving the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead. Adrain was not done as they added another goal from Jessica Grubbs at the 13:50 mark giving them a 3-1 lead at the end of the period. The Knights did not give up as they added a power play late on from Jessica Schroeder assisted from Carly Fitzsimmons cutting the lead to 3-2.
