Neumann College traveled to Middlebury Vermont for a non-conference women's ice hockey match up with No. 2 ranked Middlebury College on Friday evening.

Neumann was out shot 29-7 by their nationally ranked host and was unable to capitalize on a pair of first period power plays, but did manage to shut down the Panthers throughout most of the first period. However, Middlebury took a 1-0 lead with just seven seconds remaining in the first period on a power play goal.

The evening's hosts doubled their lead 2:51 into the second period and added a third at 5:50.

Neumann's Teresa White stopped 26 in the loss.

Neumann plays at Williams College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
