This is the first ECAC West Player of the Week honor for Fauteux
 
Fauteux Named ECAC West Player of the Week

Jan. 15, 2008

Aston, Pa. -- Senior Carolyn Fauteux (Aurora, ONT) has been named Eastern College Athletic Conference-West Player of the Week, for the week of January 7-13, for her efforts in the conference sweep of Chatham College January 12-13.

Fauteux scored the Knights' fifth goal in a 6-3 triumph over the Cougars on Saturday and tallied a 1 goal and 2 assist in a 5-1 win on Saturday, January. 13. She also was the featured player on the ECACsports.com Women's West "Off Ice" series last week.

Fauteux scored her first goal of the weekend 27 seconds into Saturday's third period. She added a second goal in Sunday's 6-3 win scoring the Knights' fourth goal of the game off a pass from Kaitlin Hein. Fauteux also added two assists in Sunday's win helping the Knights complete the weekend sweep.

This is the first ECAC West Player of the Week honor for Fauteux, who is a completing her sport management degree at Neumann and is currently a two-year intern in both the athletics and sports information offices at the College.

Neumann is 5- 5- 2 overall and 4- 3- 1 in the ECAC West. They will host Williams College on Friday and Saturday, January 18-19. Friday's game will face off at 7:00 p.m. while Saturday's game is set for 2:00 p.m. Both games will be played on rink 4 at the Ice Works Quad Rinks in Aston, Pa.
