Aston, Pa. - Sophomore forward Carly Fitzsimmons (Capreol, ONT) was awarded multiple-honors at the Neumann College women's hockey team's annual banquet, which was held Sunday, April 15 at Neumann's Bruder Gymnasium commemorating the 2006-2007 season.

Fitzsimmons received the team's MVP award as well as the 2006-2007 Offensive Player of the Year award, an honor she also received last season. Fitzsimmons helped lead an offense that ranked 17th in the nation with a .438 winning percentage. She ranked 6th nationally in power-play goals (8.0) and 19th in the nation in goals per game (0.67 gpg). Her total of 16 goals and 10 assists for 26 points ranked first on the team in goals and second in assists. Fitzsimmons' 2007 honors include being an ECAC Fan's Choice of the Week honoree, an ECAC Women's West Player of the Week Honorable Mention honoree and a 2006-2007 ECAC West All-Academic Team award winner.

Junior captain Carolyn Fauteux (Aurora, ONT) was the recipient of the Knights' 2006-2007 St. Francis and Clare Award. This award, which is presented to the individual who made significant contributions to the well-being of the team in terms of attitude, improvement and leadership, is one of the highest honors to be given to a Knight.

Sophomore defender Vicki Scott (Scarborough, ONT) was presented the Knight's Defensive Player of the Year award for the second time in her career; she received the same distinction in 2005. Scott appeared in 23 games for the Knights this season and led a defense that finished the season ranked 22nd nationally in scoring. She also recorded 3 goals and 8 assists for 11 points in her second year with the Knights.

Chelsea Ward (Willingboro, NJ), another defender, received the 7th Man Award. Ward appeared in every game this season for the Knights and tallied 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points. She was a dominate force on the ice and helped to carry the Knights to a 10-13-1 season.

Junior goaltender Teresa White (Salem, Or.) rounded out the night's honors. White was named MVP of the Playoffs after recording a .885 save percentage and a 3.03 GAA in this years' ECAC West semifinal appearance. Her season highlights also included a 2007 ECAC Women's West All-Academic nod, two ECAC Women's West Goaltender of the Week hanors and a top 50 NCAA Division III national ranking in save percentage and goals against average.

The Knights ended the 2006-2007 season 10-13-1 and 8-6 in the ECAC West.
