A year ago Kennedy left Neumann, after posting a 22-17-3 record to accept a position as an assistant coach under Michael Barrett at "This is the perfect time for me to rejoin the staff at Neumann, I feel that the time spent at Quinnipiac will only enhance the foundation that I put into place during the 2002-2003 and 2004-2005 seasons," said Kennedy. During his two-year stint as the Knights' head coach, Kennedy led Neumann to back to back ECAC West Championship Tournament appearances. He coached twelve ECAC West Athletes of the Week and 5 All-Conference selections. Under his leadership the women's ice hockey program enjoyed their most successful season when in 2003-04 the team finished 12-10-1. Kennedy also has the distinction of being the all-time winningest coach in program history. A 2001 graduate of Neumann, Kennedy earned his bachelors degree in psychology while starting as goaltender for the Knight men's program. He is a native of A member of the Neumann men's ice hockey team during his undergraduate days, Kennedy also served as a two-year team captain and was an assistant coach with the Knights men's team from 2001-2003.
