On Saturday the Neumann Knight's Women Lacrosse squad (1-2, 1-1 PAC) hosted Kean University (1-0, 0-0 Skyline) in a non-conference battle. The Knights found themselves down 4-0 with little time left in the first half until Samantha Lafferty scored at 1:12 on the clock.

At the half the Knights were down 4-1 but had the same opportunities as Kean, matching their scoring opportunities at 11 aside.

Kean came out the second half equally as strong, giving the ball to junior Gio Buono who scored her 4th and 5th goals of the day the 16:59 mark to increase their lead to 7-1. The Knights did not go away without a fight; the majority of the half was an equally fought game with both teams having offensive opportunities and both goalies making crucial saves.

The Knights made a statement with less than 5 minutes left scoring two late goals by Courtney Murphy and Kolleen Kitzinger to cut down Kean University's lead 8-3. Head Coach Di Girolamo explained that "with two goals at the end of the game, its show we didn't give up."

The Knight's next game is Tuesday, March 22 when they host Chestnut Hill College.
