The Knights Charge Past the Pacers

Aston, PA-The Neumann College Women's Lacrosse team defeated the Marywood Pacers today 16-7 in a PAC match-up.  The Knights got on the board early and often scoring six goals in the first fifteen minutes of the game.

 

The Knights were lead by Rachael DiCicco (South Dennis, NJ/Middle Township) and Colleen Finnegan (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River) who both had 5 goals and 2 assists.  The win puts the Knights at 4-2 in the PAC and 4-5 overall.

 

The Knights started the scoring two minutes into the game with Colleen Finnegan scoring followed by a flurry of goals Chelsea Ward (Willingboro, NJ/Rancocas), Rachael DiCicco and Emily Glackin (Peachbottom, PA/Lancaster Catholic.)  The Knights went up 5-0 until the Pacers would answer making it a 5-1 game. The Knights went back into scoring mode scoring six more goals in the half going into halftime with a 11-3 lead.

 

After halftime, the Knights kept up the pressure and continued to control the pace of the game.  Sarah Poynter (Baltimore, MD/Patapsco) and Emily Kazaba (Claymont, DE/Brandywine) scored for the first time in the game in the second half going up 16-4.  Marywood would go on a run at the end of the game scoring three goals but it was too late as the Knights went onto win 16-7.

 

The Knights look to continue their winning ways April 9th, against University of Misercordia at 7:00 PM.
