Aston, PA- The Neumann Knights fell to the Eastern Eagles 14-9 in a PAC match-up on Monday afternoon.  The Knights fell behind early and quickly rebounded but could not contain the Eagles offense.  The loss puts the Knights at 6-8 overall and 5-4 in the PAC.

The Knights fell behind early giving up three quick goals but a Colleen Finnegan (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River) goal would make it 3-1.  Finnegan would add another tally to make it 4-2 but the Eagles would then score four goals to take an 8-2 lead.

Neumann though would not give in bringing the game to 9-6 with three straight goals coming from Gabby D'Ambrosio (Mount Laurel, NJ/Holy Crosse) and one from Rachael DiCicco (South Dennis, NJ/Middle Township.)  Once again the Eagles would answer with a run of their own to the cut the Knights short.

The Knights continued to battle but fell at the final whistle 14-9.  The Knights were lead by Gabby D'Ambrosio who had four goals.  Collen Finnegan and Rachael DiCicco each had two goals and Kerri Sinclair (Chads Ford, PA/Unionville) added one.

D'Ambrosio's four goals puts gives her 123 career goals making her the fifth leading goal scorer in Neumann College women's lacrosse history. Two-thousand two graduate Shanna O'Donnell previously held the spot. D'Ambrosio needs just 11 more goals to move to the fourth position.

The Knights look to rebound tomorrow against PAC opponent Gwynedd-Mercy with the faceoff scheduled at 4:00 PM.
