RADNOR, Pa. (March 25) -Junior Gabby D'Ambrosio added three more goals and one assist to her point tally but it was not enough to pull ahead of the Cabrini College women's lacrosse team. Neumann College lost to Cabrini 17-8. With the loss, the Knights fall to 2-3 and 2-1 in the league. In the first six minutes of the second period, Cabrini used a 4-0 run to take a ten-goal lead and went in front by 12 goals on three occasions before earning the 17-8 win. The Cavaliers held a 49-18 advantage in shots and forced Neumann into 28 turnovers. Gabby D'Ambrosio led the Neumann with three goals and one assist while Caitlin O'Shea recorded 22 saves in the goal. Rachael DiCicco and Dominique Thompson both had two goals and Colleen Finnegan had one. Neumann faces the College of Notre Dame of Maryland back at home on Saturday, March 29th at 1PM. |
