May 15, 2006 Aston, PA-Six members of the
Senior Sam Lafferty is joined by sophomore Courtney Murphy and Samantha Lafferty leads all Knights in total points (283), ground balls (200) and draw controls (213). She is among the top leaders in the NCAA National Rankings Summary for draw controls (2nd), ground balls (9th) Courtney Murphy leads all Knights in caused turnovers. The sophomore's defensive skills have assisted her team in leading all NCAA Division III teams in that category for the last two consecutive seasons. Murphy caused 70 turnovers this season and racked up 29 points in her second year as a Knight. She ends the 2006 season ranked 2nd in NCAA Division Neumann's starting goalie Caitlin O'Shea, led the Knights in the net for the second straight year. The sophomore from Rounding out the group is seniors Brandy McCreary and Jill Rodgers. McCreary was selected to the 2006 All-PAC Sportsmanship Team along with the All-PAC Honorable Mention honor. McCreary was a first team pick in 2004 and a second team choice in 2005. She leaves Neumann with 72 career goals and 78 assists.
Jill Rodgers, a second team pick in 2005 is a proven leader on the field. Rodgers leaves Neumann with 113 ground balls and 94 caused turnovers. Neumann ended the year 11-5 and advanced to the PAC Tournament for the 4th consecutive year.
