Aston, Pa. - Neumann recently held its end-of-season banquet to look back on the 2007 season in which the Knights earned the number-four seed in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Tournament, garnered five All-PAC honors and finished the season above .500 for the second consecutive year. Sophomore Gabby D'Ambrosio received the 2007 MVP. D'Ambrosio scored at least one goal in every game this season including a career high, eight-goals against This season's Defensive MVP honor was awarded to sophomore Kerri Sinclair. Sinclair was ranked second on the team in ground balls and third in caused turnovers. She appeared in and started every game at defense for the Knights. Her season high 57 ground balls ranked her in 33rd in the NCAA Division III. Junior Courtney Murphy was honored as the Offensive MVP; Murphy led the Knights in ground balls and caused turnovers this season and is a two-time All-PAC selection. She ended the season nationally ranked 9th in ground balls, 14th in caused turnovers and also received credit for her skills off the draw by the NCAA Division III Statistical Committee. Junior Caitlin O'Shea was awarded the 2007 Neumann ended the 2007 season 9-6 overall and 5-4 in the conference under first year head coach Sarah Madrak and veteran assistant Jill Sinclair. |
