Neumann Battles to a 1-0 Decision

The Neumann Knights hosted DeSales University in their second home game of the 2005 season. In today's non-conference contest the Knights fell to the Bulldogs 1-0 on the Bruder Fields in Aston, PA

 

After a scoreless first half both teams came out in the second half ready to play. The two teams battled back and forth, with 9:57 left on the clock DeSales' sweeper Nikki Cressman cleared the ball into Neumann's defensive half. After a scramble for the ball, the Knights defense was unlucky containing the ball allowing the DeSales striker Dana Eustace to score a low hard drive to the far post.

 

Elizabeth Raiburn and Kelsey Toomey combined for ten saves in today's loss for the Knights.DeSales' Jessica Tate had nine saves on the day for the Bulldogs.

The Knights are now 2-1-1 on the season. Neumann will travel to Gallaudet University on Saturday, September 10, at 12:00 p.m.
