Christy scores two goals and adds an assist in the Knight 8-0 victory.
 
Neumann (3-1-1) Shuts Down Gallaudet (0-2) 8-0, in Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C.- Neumann broke the ice just 3:23 into the contest when sophomore forward Kim Rizzo (Pennsville, NJ./Pennsville) tickled the twine putting the Knights up one. Shortly thereafter, Casey Geary (Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) notched her first goal of the half, after gathering a rebound with some help from Kathleen Lamb (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Archbishop Carroll) which extended the Knights lead to 2-0. Neumann's Maureen Muntz (Cranford, NJ /Roselle Catholic) scored her first, of two first half goals, at the 15:23 mark, followed by Geary, with her second goal of the day, 14 minutes later. Muntz closed out the first half scoring at the 34:51 mark, giving the Knights a 5-0 lead at the break.

In the second stanzaNichole Christy (
Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown)scored an unassisted low shot to start things off.She then added her second of the day one minute and seven seconds later, off an assist by newcomer Elizabeth Figorski (Coatesville, PA/Bishop Shanahan). The Knight's junior striker Jess Kempa, (Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame) rounded the scoring out at 8-0 with a blast into the top left corner shortly after a corner kick attempt.

The Knights will return to action on Tuesday when they will open conference play at 4:00 p.m. against Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA
