Immaculata, Pa. -The Neumann College women's soccer team (3-4, 2-1 PAC) snapped their three-game losing skid on Wednesday, defeating Immaculata University (2-6, 0-5 PAC) 2-1 in overtime, in Immaculata, Pennsylvania. After the clubs exchanged scoring opportunities, it was Neumann that was able to get on the scoreboard first. In the 18th minute, a scramble for the ball broke out in front of the Immaculata goal; the Mighty Macs tried to clear it, but instead it was Neumann's sophomore Casey Geary ( Immaculata was able to respond 32 minutes later tying the game at 1-1 early in the second half however, that did not slow the Knights momentum. Neumann's Geary converted a pass from Angela Juliano ( in the 61st minute to regain the lead. The Mighty Macs countered, scoring a successful penalty kick to tie the game at 76:39. That goal sent the game into overtime with both teams tied 2-2. The rulebook calls for two, sudden death; ten-minute overtime periods to be played, but the Knights would not need the second 40 seconds.
