Saturday afternoon the Neumann Knights (4-1) hosted the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University (0-4). The not-so-"Mighty" Macs only assembled 2 shots on goal allowing Neumann 17 shots and their first of four goals in the first half. The Knight's goal came at 38:00 into the first half scored by freshman Maureen Muntz (Cranford, NJ/Roselle Catholic) and was assisted by Casey Geary (Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City). For a short time the Mighty Mac's were able to keep up with the high tempo of the Knights, however that didn't last long. "We would give them an inch and they would take a foot" explained coach Benvenuto. Later, during a rather verbally animated huddle, coach Benvenuto stressed that "we need to play our game, start stringing passes, balance the field, and get to the loose balls".

The Knights came out in the 2nd half a new team. They did all of what coach had asked of them and more. Muntz scored her second goal of the day at 54:27 which was assisted by Jess Kempa

(Baltimore, MD./Notre Dame). The 3rd and 4th goals were not far behind. Junior Nicole Christy (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) delivered these two Knight goals less than ten minutes apart of each other.Geary assited on the second Christy goal to finalize the game at 4-0 Neumann.

The final shots were a blistering 41-2 in favor of Neumann. The shutout was split by the freshman duo of Kelsey Toomey (Laurel Springs, NJ/Highland) and Elizabeth Raiburn (Strath Haven/Wallingford, PA) for their 4th of the year.

The Knights will play again Monday, September 26, 2005 at 4:00p.m. The location will be at Christopher Dock High School, in Lansdale PA, against Eastern University.
