Brittany Barley scored the game winner, keeping the Knights undefeated in the PAC.
 
Barley Moves the Knights Past Immaculata, 2-1

Aston, Pa.- Brittany Barley (Lancaster, Pa. /Lancaster Catholic) scored in the 74th minute to give the Knights a 2-1 victory at home this afternoon against Immaculata University (6-5-0, 2-4-0 PAC) in women's soccer action. The win keeps the Knights unbeaten in PAC play.

 

Barley took the ball from the goal line outside of the box and eluded the Mighty Mac defenders with first-rate dribbling and speed. She then placed the ball into the back of the net for her second goal of the season and the game winner, 74:50 into the game.

 

Neumann's Casey Geary (Ocean City, NJ /Ocean City) put the first points on the board in the 34th minute with a low cross from the corner from Brittany Barley to put the Knights up 1-0 going into the second half. Minutes after the break Immaculata's Colleen Jennings slotted home a shot to tie the game for the Mighty Macs. 

Knights' goalie Caitlin Agnew (Philadelphia, Pa. /Little Flower) came up big when she needed to, saving five shots on goal. Immaculata's Alysia Remaley stopped six shots in the loss.

 

The win gives the Knights a 3-7-1 record overall and a 2-0-1 record in PAC play. Head Coach Lisa Benvenuto stated, "We are excited about our play and we are prepared for the upcoming PAC games.  We came to play and we finished when we needed too."

 

The Knights will be in action Saturday at 1:00 pm in Scranton, PA to face PAC Opponent Marywood University.
