Scranton, Pa. - Sophomore Brittany Barley (Lancaster, Pa. /Lancaster Catholic) scored for the third time this season, but it was not enough as Neumann's women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Marywood University on Saturday. Following the setback, the Knights are now 3-8-1, 2-1-1 PAC, while the Pacers move to 8-2, 4-1 PAC. Marywood went up 2-0 in the first half. Then at 88:42, Barley netted the Knights' first goal of the afternoon, scoring a high ball past Pacer's goal keeper to close the gap. Marywood held an 8-4 advantage in shots in the first half but the Knights evened the total in the second half 6-6. Caitlin Agnew made 5 saves in goal for Neumann. Next up for Neumann will be a home match against Eastern University on Monday, October 1, beginning at 4 p.m. on Knights Field. |
