Aston, Pa. - Casey Geary found the net twice and had an assist as the Knights defeated Alvernia College 3-1 in PAC women's soccer action this afternoon. The win gives the Knights a 4-3 record in the PAC this year.

Early in the first half, Geary sent a cross from inside the penalty area and found Brittany Barley who finished it off giving the Knights a 1-0 lead.  The Knights doubled their lead late in the first half when Alyssa Collazo caused a turnover and played a quality ball through to Geary who slotted the ball to give the home side a 2-0 lead at the break.

Alvernia did not back down from the challenge as they scored in the 81st minute to cut the score in half. Laura Beth-Diggs scored for the Crusaders off a pass from Felicia Sippel.  The Knights answered back in the 85th minute with a first class strike by Casey Geary outside the eighteen. Junior Maureen Muntz assisted on the play.

With the victory the Knights improve to 4-10-1 overall and 4-4 in the PAC while Alvernia falls to 6-7-2 overall and 3-4 in the PAC.
