Geary lead the team in goals in 2007.

Knights Announce 2007 Team

Aug. 29, 2007

Aston, PA-Under Head Coach Lisa Benvenuto, The Neumann College women's soccer team returns an experienced group of players who will look to capture their first PAC playoff berth. The Knights are looking to improve from a 4-12-1 record in 2006.

The Knights are lead by senior captains Casey Geary, Angela Juliano and Stephanie Lutz. Geary lead the Knights last year with ten goals, while Juliano and Lutz controlled the Knights midfield last season.

Returnees Brittany Barley, Maureen Muntz, Colleen Rush, and Elizabeth Figorski look to use their experience to help the Knights to improve their record. Barley, who had two goals and two assists last year, hopes to add to that total.

The Knights have five newcomers from all over the tri state area looking to make an impact on their first year of collegiate soccer. Local players like Megan McCoach (Springfield, Pa.) have high hopes for the season. McCoach will join fellow freshmen Ally Doyle (Grenloch, NJ), Sarah Poynter (Baltimore, Md.), Alyssa Collazo (Burlington, NJ) and Vicky Segal (Phoenixville, Pa.) when the Knights open the season at the Swarthmore Kick Classic in Swarthmore, Pa. over Labor Day weekend.
