Neumann Shuts Down Farmingdale State 17-0

Disney, Florida-The Neumann College Softball team is off to their most impressive start in ten years, going 4-0, at Disney's 2006 Softball Spring Training event, after shutting down Farmingdale State 17-0 this afternoon.

Neumann (4-0) scored 11 runs in the second-inning while 2005 Team MVP Kelli Ann Meehan (Springfield, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) started on the mound for the Knights, going five innings, striking out 12 and giving up one hit. Neumann continued their scoring borage posting six more runs in route their first shut out of the season.

Newcomer Caitlin Hanrahan (Springfield, PA/Springfield) went 2-3 with seven RBI's including a home run and a double, while Kim Zlupko (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) had two hits and scored four runs for the Knights.  

Neumann returns to action, under the sunny Florida sun, on Thursday when they face Cedar Crest College at 8:30 a.m.
