SCRANTON, PA - Neumann College swept a softball double-header from Marywood University by scores of 4-0 and 12-1 Friday afternoon to move to 6-0 in the PAC and 12-2 overall.  The Pacers, meanwhile, fall to 6-6 overall (0-2 PAC).

Game one saw a pitching duel between Neumann's Kelli Ann Meehan and Marywood's Brittany Pavelski.  Pavelski cruised through the first three innings of work, striking out five of nine Neumann batters.  Meehan held up her end as well, keeping the Pacers hitless through four full innings of play.

Neumann used a three-run third inning to break the game open after Caitlin Hanrahan's RBI double.  From there, Meehan closed the door on Marywood, scattering six hits over the final three innings to pick up the win. Hanrahan picked up another RBI with a single in the sixth to finish the day 2-3 with 2-RBI and a run scored.  Meehan struck out 6 to move to 5-1 on the year from the mound.  Pavelski struck out seven, but dropped to 2-3 on the year after Marywood's bats could not provide an offensive spark.

In the nightcap, Neumann's bats came alive early as the Knights plated two in the second, three in the third, and four in the fourth to take a commanding 9-0 lead.  Angela Sebasto (5-1) kept Marywood scoreless, striking out six of the first nine batters she faced. Sebasto finished with 8 strikeouts while only allowing one run on two hits.  Marywood's Ashley Williams (2-2) allowed 16 hits over four innings of work.  Sebasto also did the most damage at the plate for the Knights, going 3-4 with 2 RBI.  Chandra Moore went 2-3 with 2-RBI, while Hanrahan went 2-3 with 2-RBI as well.

Neumann returns to action Saturday when they host Cabrini College in PAC action at 2:00 pm.
