In the first game of the afternoon double header, Neumann was able to capitalize off an inside, to close for comfort pitch, which struck Lauren Gallagher allowing her take a base and put Neumann in good scoring position. GMC's pitchure, Christina Peoples then served up four balls to Samantha Duncan before welcoming Kirsten Lawlor to the plate. Lawlor waited for her pitch before serving up her seventh doubled of the season which scored Gallagher for a 1-0 Knights lead. Starting Pitcher Angela Sabasto, who allowed just one hit in seven innings and struck out nine Griffins, also proved valuable on the offensive side of the bat scoring a solo home run in the 6th inning. Sabasto's homer proved to be more than the Knights needed to earn the freshmen her third shutout of the season.
In the second game the Knights came out big in the first inning of play. Danielle Hayes hit a three run homer to take a 3-0 lead on the Griffins. The Knights never looked back.
