Knights Sweep Rosemont College on Senior Day

Aston, Pa.-The Knights of Neumann College swept the Ramblers of Rosemont College today in a PAC conference softball match up.  The Knights continued to be strong offensively as they hit fourteen extra base hits en route to a 11-1 and 16-0 sweep of the Ramblers.

 

In the first game, the Knights put 11-runs on the board using 14-hits.  Danielle Hayes provided three of them herself while Caitlin Hanrahan and Kristen Lawlor provided the Knights with two.  Angela Sebasto pitched a terrific game striking out 11 and only giving up one hit in her 10th win of the season.

 

In the second game, the Knights won on the mercy rule 16-0 in the fifth inning.  In her last home game senior Katie Kletzel pitched a three strike outs shutout and went 2-for-2 at the plate.  Caitlin Hanrahan led the way offensively, going 4/4 with a home run and three RBI. Jennifer Goslin followed Hanrahan as she also went deep recording her 7th homerun of the season. Angela Sebasto added a three RBI in the for the Knights in the win.

 

After the game, the Knights honored four seniors for their great leadership.  Pitcher Kate Kletzel, third basemen Chandra Moore, outfielder Kristen Lawlor, and catcher Tracie Seagraves were all honored for their dedication to the Knights program.

 

Next Up: The Knights will play at Cabrini College on April 23, 2007 in a PAC Conference Match up at 3:00 p.m.
