Radnor, Pa. - Coming off of disappointing loss at home to Centenary College the Knights looked to get back on their winning ways with two victories againste Cabrini College. They wasted no time in game one of the doubleheader as they jumped out to a 2-0 lead off of a home run by Jen Goslin. Both teams kept the other in check for the rest of the game. The Knights mounted several late inning rallies but could only advance runners to third each time. All the while junior pitcher Angela Sebasto controlled Cabrini's bats by dominating the hitters with her precision and power. In the 4th inning the Knights put together a series of singles and were able to increase their lead to 4-0. Kimberly Kirkpatrick started the attack with a base hit followed by Caitlin Hanrahan and Goslin. Sebasto finished it with a single of her own and the Knights continued to pressure the Cavaliers. The score would remain the same through the end of the seventh and final inning giving the Knights a victory and chance to sweep the season series. In the second game of the doubleheader the Knights jumped out to another quick 2-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back. They scored four more runs in the second and five more runs in the top of the fifth inning to end the game in five innings. The 11-0 victory completed the regular season for the Knights who look to compete in the P.A.C. playoffs next weekend. |
