Sebasto pitched a no-hitter against Green Mountain
Knights Find Success on the Road

Aston, Pa- The Knights returned from their East Coast road trip 5-5 after a visit to Virginia Wesleyan and Myrtle Beach.  The highlight of the trip was a no hitter by pitcher Angela Sebasto against Green Mountain in Myrtle Beach.


The Knights started their trip at the Virginia Wesleyan Tournament during the set of games the Knights went 1-2.  They were defeated 9-3 against Rowan University then came back the next day and won the first game of their double header against Messiah 4-2 and lost 10-8 to Wilkes to end the tournament.


The Knights then traveled to Myrtle Beach for a seven game series.  Neumann went 4-3 during their visit to Myrtle Beach.  The Knights started things off right in the first game against Green Mountain.  Angela Sebasto came out and pitched her first collegiate no hitter of her career to giver her team an 8-0 victory.  Neumann kept the momentum rolling as they defeated Elizabeth town 6-3.  Captain Danielle Hayes had 4 RBIs and Angela Sebasto continued her great pitching striking out Elizabethtown 9 times as the Knights went 2-0 on the first day.


The Knights though would falter against Philadelphia Biblical College 7-5 but during the game the young freshman for the Knights hit 9-14 but it was not enough to get by Philadelphia Bible.


On the next day, the Knights started out with a win against Gettysburg College 10-8.  Angela Sebasto had 4 RBIs during the game and Caitlin Hanrahan went 2-2 with 4 runs.  The second game of the double header the Knights fell to Juniata 3-2.  The highlight of the game was a homerun from Jen Goslin but it was not enough for the Knights.


During the last day of the trip the Knights started off their double header against Philadelphia Biblical College.  The Knights who lost previously to Philadelphia Biblical College earlier in the trip got revenge beating them 7-6.  The Knights Sheila Munson help the Knights as she had 2 RBIs and a run.  The final game of the double header was a loss to Villa Julie 5-1 where the only run came off a home run by Jen Goslin who also went 3-3 on the day.


The Knights return to action Saturday, March 15 against Rosemount College in Aston, Pa at 1:00 pm.
