Aston, Pa- The 2007 Neumann softball season is just around the corner, and the last season champions Knights of the PAC are getting positive reviews in the preseason polls.
The Pennsylvania Athletic Conference poll finds Neumann ranked third in the pre-season polls in a vote conducted by the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference headquarters.
The Knights the last two seasons have made the playoffs in which they have improved in all variety of ways through base running, fielding and hitting. The Knights capped off an awesome year as they won their first ever Pennsylvania Athletic Conference championship.
The Knights this year return twelve starters from the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championship team from last year. One in which includes stud ace Angela Sebasto who returns after a great freshman year in which she was named PAC Rookie of the Year as well as PAC Playoff and Championship MVP.
The Knights are third to fellow rival Arcadia Knights who got the most votes to be ranked as the top favorite to win the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. To edge out second with 130 was the College of Misericorida in which the Knights beat last year to win the Pennsylvania Athletic Championship.
In talking to coach Bill Saar, "Coach is proud of his ladies and thinks they are once again deep enough to go far and prove to the critics that they belong on top of the list of the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.

Arcadia University's softball team has been selected as the pre-season favorite in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) coaches' poll. The Knights received six of the 12 first-place votes for a total of 135 points to edge out College Misericordia. Misericordia earned a total of 130 points including three first-place votes to finish in second place in the poll. Defending conference champion Neumann College, Cabrini College and Alvernia College each received one first-place vote and finished in third, fourth and fifth respectively. Neumann (124), Cabrini (107), Alvernia (97), Marywood University (70), Cedar Crest College (68), Eastern University (66), Wesley College (57), Gwynedd-Mercy College (36), Immaculata University (32) and Rosemont College (14) rounded out the voting.
