Caitlin Hanrahan Selected as PAC Softball Conference Player of the Week

Aston, Pa. - The Pennsylvania Athletic Conference announced Monday the selection of Caitlin Hanrahan (So, Shortstop/ Catcher, Springfield, PA/ Springfield) as the PAC Softball Conference Player of the Week. Hanrahan helped led the Knights to a 6-0 week with an impressive .526 batting average.


The sophomore shortstop/catcher went 10-19 with 2 home runs, 11 RBI, 12 runs scored, 3 doubles and a stolen base for the Knights. She had a slugging percentage of 1.053 and a fielding percentage of .952.


Hanrahan helped lead the Knights to three double header conference sweeps this week.  She had a 5-for-9 performance in the first series of the week with two two-run homers which helped the Knights to a 17-0 and 12-0 shutout over Eastern. She went 5-for-8 in the Knights' 16-4 and 2-1 double win over Gwynedd Mercy on Friday and was 1-2 with a run scored, a RBI and a stole bases against Alvernia.


For the season Hanrahan is batting is now batting .500 with 4 home runs, 18 RBI and 9 doubles for a .957 slugging percentage. This is the first-time PAC Softball Conference Player of the Week for Hanrahan since becoming a Knight in 2006.
