Three Knights Nationally Ranked in NCAA Division III Softball

Aston, PA - Neumann College congratulates freshmen Caitlin Hanrahan, Danielle Hayes, and Angela Sebasto for earning spots in the national rankings for Division III softball released April 18th, 2006.


Caitlin Hanrahan (Fr. Springfield, PA/Springfield) earned the 22nd spot in the top 50 for RBI's per game with 1.23.  She trails the national leader by only .42 RBI's per game.


Danielle Hayes (Fr Carlisle, PA/Cumberland Valley) is spotted twice on the national rankings list earning a spot for both batting average and doubles per game.  She is ranked 80th out of 100 for batting average with 0.448.  For doubles per game, she is ranked 27th with 0.43.


Freshman pitcher Angela Sebasto (Fr Trenton, NJ/McCorristin) made an appearance in the top 100 for earned run average ranking 82nd with 1.58 per game.


Aside from the standout trio, the entire team is recognized in the national rankings for seven other categories including doubles per game, slugging percentage, WL percentage, home runs per game, batting average, earned run average, and scoring.


Congratulations to the softball team for their achievements and for representing Neumann College in the NCAA National Rankings.


The softball team's next game will be Friday, April 21st at 2:30 p.m. in Aston, Pennsylvania.  Come out and support the team as they take on the Wolverines of Wesley College in PAC play.
