2007 PAC Player of the Week, Caitlin Hanrahan

Caitlin Hanrahan Named Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Player of the Week

May 1, 2007

Aston, Pa. - Neumann College sophomore softball player Caitlin Hanrahan was named the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week on Monday helping the Knights to an undefeated 6-0 week.

The Springfield, Pennsylvania native hit .550 (11 for 20) for the week with one homerun, four doubles, two RBIs, ten runs scored and six walks for the Knights in a perfect 6-0 (4-0 PAC) week.

Hanrahan also set Neumann College's career record for most home runs in a season recording her 13th career homerun on April 23 against Cabrini College. She also holds the Knights' career record for doubles with 33.

The Knights are currently 25-9 on the season and 18-4 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference, which puts the 2006 defending champions third in the league standings going into playoffs.

Neumann returns to action Wednesday when it plays host to sixth-place Alvernia College at 3:30 p.m., at Bruder Field. The game marks the opener of the 2007 PAC Softball Championship.
