Aston, Pa. - The Neumann College softball team learned earlier today that they will travel to North Carolina to play in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament. The Knights received a seventh seed in the regional and will play against seconded seeded Christopher Newport University from Hampton Roads, Virginia. Both teams won their respective conference championships and the automatic qualifiers for their conferences. The Knights defeated Misericordia University to win the P.A.C. while The Captains won the USA South Conference Tournament. Neumann finished 27-12 overall while Christopher Newport finished 33-8-1. The Captains and the Knights will play Thursday at 2 p.m. Other teams advancing to the North Carolina regional include top seeded Lynchburg College, third seeded and host institution Methodist University. Emory is seeded fourth and will take on fifth seeded LaGrange while Methodist will take on sixth seed Ursinus. For more information click on this link: Tournament Info.
