2008 season team statistics
ASTON, Pa. - Six Neumann College softball student-athletes earned recognition on the 2008 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference All-Conference team. Junior pitcher Angela Sebasto (Trenton, NJ /McCorristin), the ace of the Neumann Knights, was named P.A.C Player of the Year. She is joined on the First Team All-Conference by infielder Jen Goslin (Coatesville, PA /Coatesville) and outfielder Lauren Gallagher (Parkesburg, PA /Home School). Junior catcher Caitlin Hanrahan (Springfield, PA /Springfield) and freshman newcomer Kimberly Kirkpatrick (Springfield, PA /Springfield) landed a spot on the All-PAC Second Team and senior Audrie Porter (Secane, PA/Cardinal O' Hara) was selected as a 2008 P.A.C Sportsmanship honoree. Sebasto earned 19 of the Knights' 27 wins on the season, including two no-hitters against Green Mountain College on March 3 and Rosemont College on March 15. She also pitched the first perfect game in College history in a 33-0 win against Rosemont. The former P.A.C Rookie of the Year tossed seven shutouts and posted a 2.20 ERA in 19 starts and 23 appearances while striking out 180 batters in 133.2 innings and yielding just 51 walks. She leads the conference in strike outs and wins and is ranked second in saves. Jen Goslin hit .472 for the year (48-for-102) connecting for 6 doubles and 18 home runs and 56 RBI. She ranks first in the conference in home runs, slugging percentage (1.078), RBI and total bases (110) and second in fielding percentage leading Neumann to a 27-12 record and their 2nd NCAA Tournament appearance. Lauren Gallagher hit .381 in the conference with 7 doubles 2 triples and 14 putouts. Caitlin Hanrahan hit .383 with 10 doubles, 3 homeruns and 225 putouts. She is joined on the second team by freshman standout Kim Kirkpatrick who hit .407 in 20 games this season.
