ASTON, Pa. -- Sophomore first baseman Jen Goslin was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II first team announced by The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The Honeybrook, Pa. native played in 40 games this season and started 39, batting .451 with 51 hits, including 9 doubles, 1 triple and 18 homeruns. She had 32 runs scored and 60 RBI. She led the team in slugging percentage, hits, RBI, home runs and total bases and had a .976 fielding percentage. She has twelve multiple hit games and was named as a two-time PAC Player of the Week selection and First Team All-Conference selection.
Majoring in criminal justice, Goslin is a two-time All-PAC Academic honoree who achieved a 4.0 GPA in the Fall semester of 2007 and currently holds a 3.89 GPA. She was named to the 2008 NCAA Division III First Round All-Tournament Team and is a 2008 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-East Region First Team selection. In her freshman year Goslin was named the 2007 PAC Rookie of the Year and earned 2007 PAC Honorable Mention Infield All-Conference honors.
The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) selects Academic All-District teams in 12 programs: football, women's volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball, men's track & field/cross country, women's track & field/cross country, men's at-large and women's at-large. To be nominated for this honor, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for his/her career.
