Aston, PA -- The Neumann Knights softball team wrapped up its 2005 season on Sunday, May 1, 2005 defeating Marywood University 7-1 and 10-2 on Senior Day.

Sole senior Erin Fagan was celebrated at the plate in a pre-game ceremony for her hard work, dedication, and support of the Neumann Knights program prior to the day's double-header. The four-year captain leaves Neumann as the leader in at bats (365), runs scored (63), hits (118), total bases (138) and RBI's (54). She is also seventh in career batting average with .323. Fagan has earned three St. Francis & Clare Awards, and a team MVP honor.

In the first game of the afternoon's contest the Knights came out strong shutting down the Pacers in game one. Freshman pitcher Kelli Ann Meehan pitched seven strong innings, allowing only four hits and striking out 10. Today marks the fifth shut out for Meehan this season.
