Allentown, PA - The Cedar Crest women's tennis team evened its record at 2-2 Friday afternoon, defeating the Knights 5-4.

Starting the match with the doubles competition, Neumann dropped two of the three matches to trail 2-1 heading into singles competition.

The Knights #1 doubles team of Sarah Tomlinson (Lancaster, PA\Lancaster Catholic) and Melinda Howell (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) turned in the only doubles win on the afternoon for Neumann, a 9-7 victory over Hilary Prescott and Jillian Churchill.

Ashley Miller (Newark, DE/Newark) defeated Churchill 6-1, 6-1 improving her singles record to 2-2 on the season at #2 Singles and Shamira Cannon (Chester, PA/The Christian Academy) earned the Knights a point at #3 singles by defeating Jessica Lehman 6-4, 7-6. Senior Laura Bodish (Coplay, PA/Whitehall) improved to 1-3 on the season in #5 singles with a 7-6, 6-3 win over Devika Rawal at #5 singles.

The Knights will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Immaculata University for a 1:00 start.
