Knights Edge Past Immaculata in PAC Play :: Shamira Cannon helps Knights make it two in a row.

The Neumann College Knights picked up their third PAC win of the season on Saturday, clipping the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University 5-4.

Neumann led out of doubles 2-1, with wins at #2 and #3. Courtney Hartel and Michelle Hellick recorded the Knights first win of the season at the two spot, 8-3, while Shamira Cannon and Melinda Howell pulled out a 8-3 win at number three.

In singles action the sophomore trio of Howell, Hartel, and Cannon helped solidify the match for the Knights after Immaculata tied it things up at 4-4 with wins at #1, #3, and #4.

Howell earned the Knights' their first singles point at 5^th singles 6-1, 6-0, while Hartel shut down IU's Jennifer Hildebrand 6-0, 6-0 at #6. With the score at tied at 4-4, sophomore Shamira Cannon took a hard-fought victory 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 over Lauren Piliero to win the match for Neumann.

Neumann College will return to action on Monday in Center Valley, Pennsylvania when they will be hosted by DeSales University in non-conference action. Play begins at 4:00 p.m.
