Women's Tennis Earns 7-2 Road Win over Goldey-Beacom College

Wilmington, De. - The Neumann College women's tennis team (4-4) posted a 7-2 road win over Goldey-Beacom College (2-4) on Tuesday.

 

Freshman Lindsey Ravior (Minotola, NJ /Buena Regional) and teammate Courtney Hartel (Clifton Heights, Pa. /Upper Darby) led the Knights to an 8-0 win at 2nd singles. Kayla Chamberlain (Mickelton, NJ /Gloucester Catholic) and Michelle Steward (Haddon Township, NJ /Haddon Township) posted an 8-8 (7-2) win at 3rd singles giving the Knights the edge as the two teams entered singles action.

 

After Goldey Beacom won a 6-0, 6-0 decision at first singles to tie the match at two, the Knights battled back taking the next five singles matches in straight sets.

 

Neumann's Allison Trout (Audubon, NJ/Audubon) earned a 6-4, 6-2 win at 2nd singles while Courtney Hartel (Clifton Heights, Pa. /Upper Darby) posted at 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6. Michelle Steward (Haddon Township, NJ /Haddon Township) clinched the match for the Knights at 3rd singles with a 6-3, 6-0 win. Lindsey Ravior (Minotola, NJ /Buena Regional) won at 4th singles 6-0, 6-3 and Kayla Chamberlain (Mickelton, NJ /Gloucester Catholic) closed out the day with a 6-1, 6-4 win at 6th singles.  

 

Next up for the Knights, Neumann will travel to Immaculata University on Thursday for a 4:00 p.m. start.
