ASTON, Pa. - Women's tennis standouts Ashley Miller and Courtney Hartel both advanced to the semifinals after which Hartel moved into the finals in the single elimination Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Individual Championships.

 

Neumann Knights SarahTomlinson, Shamira Cannon Allison Trout and Melinda Howell who all qualified for the tournament on Thursday, October 19^th were bounced in the first round but remained to support Miller and Hartel in their Championship run.

 

At 2^nd singles Ashley Miller defeated Jamie Valis of Marywood 9-7 before falling to 2^nd seed Erin Fallon of Gwynedd Mercry College, 8-3 in the semifinals.

 

Courtney Hartel defeated Kim Baksovich of Cedar Crest, 8-6 and upset Brittany Albertson, seeded second, of Gwynedd Mercy College 8-6, in the semifinals to advance to the finals of the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference 6^th singles Championship. In the Championship match up Hartel fought tough but fell short in the end 6-1, 6-1.
