2007-2008 Women's Tennis Schedule Released

June 15, 2007

ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann College women's tennis team will compete in 16 regular season matches according to its 2007-08 schedule which was released Friday.

The Knights will play 10 of those matches on the Neumann College tennis courts and will play 5 of their 11 conference contest on the road this season.

The Knights will open their schedule August 30 when they play host to DeSales University.  Neumann will then welcome Lebanon Valley to Aston, Pennsylvania on September 5 before embarking on a two-game road trip against Philadelphia Biblical (Sept. 6) and Marywood University (Sept. 8).

Neumann will return home on September 10 to face King's College and PAC rivals Rosemont College (Sept. 11) and Gwynedd Mercy (Sept. 9) in a three game home stand. Neumann will continue with PAC competition on September 19 and 27 when they travel to Eastern and Immaculata.

Goucher College will cross state lines on September 29 followed by in-state rivals Chestnut Hill and Alvernia College in the beginning of October.

The Knights will head to Notre Dame in Baltimore on October 5, before wrapping up the road swing on October 10 at Cedar Crest College. This will mark the first time Neumann and Notre Dame will meet as conference opponents as the Gators will transition into the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference this season.

Neumann wraps up the PAC slate with 2-home conference matches on October 13 and 17.  The Knights entertain Misericordia first before hosting defending conference champion Cabrini College in the regular season finale.

The PAC Championship will take on a new format this season encompassing both an individual and team championship. The team tournament is set to begin on October 20 at a site to be determined and the individual tournament will take place at the West End Raquet Club in Allentown, Pa. on October 26-27.
