October 22, 2004 - Allentown, PA - Neumann College's sophomore Heather Hatala advanced to the finals of the 3rd seeded singles in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Tennis Tournament. Hatala, seeded second, defeated Nozami Hayashi from Wesley in the first round 6-0, 6-2. In the second round Hatala defeated Victoria Nicodemus of Cabrini 6-2, 6-2. Hatala will play top seeded Lynn Beben of Gwynedd Mercy College in the championship.

Head Coach Bob Spickler explained, "I knew Heather could play this well. She demonstrated that she could compete with the best of the PAC all year." Spickler also said, "Heather has played hard and competed all year. I think the championship match tomorrow will be no different."
