Aston, Pa. - Three different women's tennis players from Neumann College were named to the field for the PAC Singles and Doubles Championships on Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th. PAC Individual Championship play will begin on Friday with doubles semifinals at approximately 10:00am followed by singles semifinals. On Saturday, the PAC Individual Championship will begin at 10:00am with doubles finals followed by singles finals. Neumann landed Lindsey Ravior and Courtney Hartel in the individual championship, while Kayla Chamberlain will play an 8-game pro set to determine the final seed in the 5th singles draw on Friday morning. Neumann's Hartel, the 2006 PAC 6th singles runner up, earned her second straight trip to the singles competition, and will team with Lindsey Ravior in the No. 3 doubles bracket. Hartel has led the Knights all season, at the No. 6 position, posting a 15-3 record overall and went undefeated (10-0) in PAC play this season. Ravior holds a 11-7 (7-3 PAC) record at No. 4 and Chamberlain, who will battle Ashley Mangabang from Misericordia University for the remaining spot at 5th singles holds a 6-4 PAC record and went 9-9 overall this season. In doubles, the team of Courtney Hartel and Lindsey Ravior went 13-5 overall and 8-2 in PAC play. The duo's success including wins over Sara Messner & Sarah Schopf from Cedar Crest (8-6) and Alex March & Lauren Naher from Misericordia (8-3) who are all seeded in the 3rd doubles bracket and will battle for the Championship on Saturday. |
