Over 25 alumni, family and friends of Neumann Tennis came out to the Living and Learning Center Schmidt Room, on Neumann's campus Saturday afternoon, to support the 2005 women's tennis team at the 3rd annual awards banquet. Athletic Director Chuck Sack addressed the crowd, speaking on how fortunate the players are to now be a part of the Neumann tennis tradition. Serving as the emcee of the afternoon Sack honored the team and the accomplishments of 1st year Head Coach, Chris Grosseaux, before turning over the microphone to Grosseaux and Assistant Coach Mike Keller, who honored the afternoon's award winners. Seniors Laura Bodish and Amanda Harich also spoke, thanking all of those who helped to make their time at Neumann such a great experience. During the ceremony awards were given to members and supporters of the team for their dedication, and excellence both on and off the court. The award recipients were: Most Valuable Player: Sarah Tomlinson Most Improved Player- Shamira Cannon Coaches Award- Ashley Miller PAC Sportsmanship Award: Laura Bodish |
