ASTON, Pa. - Rachael Sokolovich (Media, Pa. /Ridley) recorded 11 kills, 0 errors, and hit .611 to help the Knights sweep The College of Notre Dame (Md.), 3-0, at the Bruder Gymnasium on Wednesday evening. Emilee Gruse (Lafayette, In. /St. Mark's), the 2006 PAC Rookie of the Year, committed just four hitting errors in her 16 total attempts (.312) and added three digs, a block assist and a block solo on the night. Neumann's Kristen Verone (Folsom, Pa. /Cardinal O'Hara) recorded 24 set assists and 7 digs in the win while Melissa Haines (Brookhaven, Pa. /Sun Valley) added four service aces to the Knights' score. Catherine Subrizi (Bel Air, Md. /John Carroll) led the way for the Gators with ten kills and 6 errors in 27attacks (.148). Kate Halbruner (Bel Air, Md. /John Carroll) contributed eight digs, while Christina Kudrna (Bel Air, Md. /John Carroll) recorded three service aces in the loss. Neumann will return to action this weekend at the Blue Jay Tournament hosted by Elizabethtown College. Neumann's first game is slated for 2:30 p.m. |
