Alyssa Brigg digs 11 for the Knights in the win
 
Neumann Downs Cedar Crest in Home Opener

Aston, PA-Women's volleyball hosted Cedar Crest College Tuesday night in their home opener at Bruder Gymnasium. In Pennsylvania Athletic Conference play, the lady Knights took a three game sweep to secure the victory in front of a loud attendance of 103.

In the first game, Neumann came out of the gates fast with a 10-1 run before taking the game with a controlling 30-13 victory. Julia Tarloski (5) and Rachael Sokolovich (4) led with a combined 9 kills on the game. Kristen Gregg-Verone finished with 12 assists and Alyssa Brigg led with 5 digs.

Neumann took the second game, but not as easy. The score was neck and neck until Neumann pulled away late in the rally to take the game 30-22. The offence was once again led by Julia Tarloski with 10 kills accompanied with solid defense by Meghan Wilson with 6 digs.

In the third game and with Cedar Crest's backs against the wall, Neumann showed no mercy at all. The Knights took the third game 30-13 led by Captain Rachael Sokolovich with 5 kills and 14 on the night. Kristen Gregg-Verone added to her total of 42 assists in the victory with 11 coming in the third game.

The Knights have a day off and then will get ready to host Rosemont College Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Bruder Gymnasium.
