Courtesy of Brett Leonhardt, Neumann College Sports Information - Thursday night at the Bruder gymnasium The Knights of Neumann hosted In the opening game Neumann found themselves down early (7-1). After a timeout the Knights calmed down and battled back to make it 22-15, but it just was not enough for Game 2 Neumann turned things around and came out as a team. Neumann took a commanding lead mid-game (18-11) until a tenacious Neumann took the momentum from the emotional win in game 2 and kept the ball rolling in to the third. Neumann came out flying and never looked back with a commanding win 30-14. Kills came courtesy of: Rachael Sokolovich (5), Julia Tarloski (3), Jenna Halpin (2), and Emilee Gruse (2). In the 4th game, Baptist Bible came out looking to redeem their selves...and that they did. In the 5th and deciding game Neumann came up short despite a lengthy, hard fought match that went the distance.
The Knights will take action again on Saturday when they travel to Immaculata University for a 1:00 p.m. PAC conference match-up. |
