Knights Disarm Crusaders in Three

Aston, Pa. - The Neumann Knights (18-12, 9-2 PAC) extend their winning streak to three after recording a 3-0 victory over PAC rival Alvernia College (8-9, 5-5 PAC) in Reading, Pennsylvania this evening.

 

Neumann came out strong doubling the points score over the evening's hosts, winning the first and second games 30-15 and 30-12. In the third game the Crusaders stepped up their game but still were no match for the Knights. Neumann overpowered the Crusaders 30-21 to end the night in style.

 

Neumann Knights Kristen Gregg-Verone set her team up with 33 assists in the win. Julia Tarloski hit down 13 kills on 22 attempts for a .455 hitting percentage adding 2 block solos and 4 block assists. Rachael Sokolovich had 10 kills and 9 digs on the night while Emilee Gruse added 8 kills and 5 service aces in the win. Senior Jenna Halpin added 6 kills for a .400 hitting percentage and Meghan Wilson chipped in with 19 digs. Kelly Saville held strong on the offensive recording seven blocks for the Knights.

 

Neumann returns to action on Saturday at the Richard Stockton tri-match in Pomona, New Jersey.
