Julia Tarloski (Malvern, Pa. /Bishop)

Tarloski Named to Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Weekly Volleyball Honor Roll

Sept. 11, 2006

Sophomore middle hitter Julia Tarloski received Pennsylvania Athletic Conference weekly honor roll accolades for the first weeks of the season, the conference announced Monday.  The honor comes on the heels of the Knights' 2nd place finish at the 3rd Annual Defender Invitational, with victories over Baptist Bible College, (W, 3-1) and St. Elizabeth (W, 3-0) and Tarloski's first All-Tournament Team appointment of the season.

Tarloski was instrumental in leading Neumann College to sweeps against Susquehanna University, Randolph-Macon, St. Elizabeth and conference rivals Cabrini College and Wesley College, along with a 3-1 win over Baptist Bible to start the season 6-3 and 2-0 in the PAC.   The Malvern, Pennsylvania native posted seven kills and four block solos in the first match of the season. She also recorded a double-digit match-high 15 kills in the Knights' 3-1 win over Baptist Bible this weekend. For the first weeks of the season Tarloski averaged 2.83 kills and 1.17 blocks per game while hitting .308.

Tarolski currently leads Neumann in kills (68), service aces (13), and block solos (25).

Neumann is 6-3 on the season and 2-0 in the PAC Conference. Tarlowski and the Knights return to action on Friday, September 15, against Lebanon Valley College in the first match of the Lebanon Valley Tournament. First serve is slated for 5 p.m.
