Gregg-Verone Named to Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Weekly Volleyball Honor Roll

Oct. 17, 2006

Sophomore setter Kristen Gregg-Verone received Pennsylvania Athletic Conference weekly honor roll accolades for week ending October 15th, the conference announced Monday.

This is the Knights fourth such honor this season. Gregg-Verone joins teammates Emilee Gruse, Rachael Sokolovich and Julia Tarloski who were awarded the honor earlier in the season. The honor comes on the heels of the Knights' three game sweep of Immaculata University on Saturday.

Gregg-Verone was instrumental in leading Neumann College to a 2-1, 2-0 PAC week. Neumann downed both Marywood University and Immacualata in three games last week, while falling just short of victory in a 5-game series with nationally ranked powerhouse Baptist Bible 3-2.

The Cardinal O'Hara graduate set for 128 assists, averaging 11.63 assists per game and served up 12 aces for the Knights in their 3-game week.

Gregg-Verone currently leads Neumann in assists (903) and has the second highest service percentage on the team. She currently ranks 1st in the Pennsylvania Conference standings in assists per game (10.18).

Neumann is 15-11 on the season and 8-2 in the PAC Conference. Kristen and the Knights return to action this evening, October 17, against cross town rival Swarthmore College. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
